Tuition has been on the rise in California universities, and with the bad economy many students aren’t sure if they can afford college. We discuss the newly formed ScholarMatch, a project launched by Bay Area writer Dave Eggers. ScholarMatch is an online service that helps pair college applicants with individual donors who want to help send them to school.

Guests:

Dave Eggers, author, founder and editor of McSweeney's and co-founder of 826 Valencia, a network of nonprofit writing and tutoring centers for young people

Miel Alegre, executive director of ScholarMatch
