“I have been counting my eyelashes for fun, so can we just do this?”

Tears and tequila shots aid the soft glow of production lights as producer Rebecca attempts to elicit a satisfying close on the final night of a reality dating show. Determined to maintain composure on a national stage, the heartbroken and rejected contestant Jessica wants a different ending. But as she’ll learn, Rebecca will go to any lengths to get her interview — even exploiting sensitive information from the show’s psychologist.

Directed by Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, co-creator of Lifetime’s UnREAL, which is based on this short film. It had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival. Principal Cast: Ashley Williams, Anna Camp, and Frances Conroy.
