King Ripple

| August 23, 2016

DePaul University / 2015 / 11 minutes / English / Color

“We don’t know when King Ripple was born, but they say he wouldn’t stop crying.”

When King Ripple was born, he did not want to be held, so he imagined that everyone — the doctors, the nurses, his own mother — disappeared. And they did. As he grew up, King Ripple imagined away more and more people. Now the city is an urban wasteland.

King Ripple hasn’t been seen in 18 years. But when four teens decide to investigate, they discover more than they could have ever imagined.

Directed by Luke Jaden. Based on an original story by Josh Malerman. Principal Cast: Keith Stanfield (Straight Outta Compton), Callaghan Belle, Torrey Wigfield, Allie DeBerry, Luke Jaden, and Ed Kelly.
