Ryan Charmatz

Ryan Charmatz has had a passion for visual storytelling since he could hold a crayon. After discovering Macromedia Flash at the age of 13, Ryan knew he was destined to combine his love of writing and drawing by creating animated films. His early short films, Think Outside the Book, Joey the Cow, and Short End of the Spaghetti, won numerous awards, and in 2010 Ryan began studying at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

His thesis film, The Maildog, was an official selection at the 37th SDFF. Now a graduate of SVA, Ryan plans to move to Los Angeles, where he hopes to bring his eclectic but touching style to the television industry.
