Mark Raso

Mark Raso is a filmmaker from Toronto, Canada. He holds a BA in English Literature and Cinema Studies from the University of Toronto as well an MFA in Film from New York’s Columbia University.

His short film Under has been the recipient of several awards, including the prestigious 2012 Student Academy Award Gold Medal, the CINE Golden Eagle Award, The Golden ACE Award, and the CINE Special Jury Award. Mark has also been awarded the David Jones Memorial Award for Excellence in Directing and The Hollywood Foreign Press Award for Excellence in Filmmaking. In 2013 he was named to The Tracking Board’s prestigious Young & Hungry List as an emerging talent to look out for in Hollywood. In total, his films have screened in over 20 countries around the world. He premiered his first feature film Copenhagen at the 2014 Slamdance Film Festival and is in development on the feature films Fire Flag and The Cargo.

He resides in Los Angeles.
