RISD

Jose_300x300Jose Roberto Rodriguez was born in Mexico City in 1989 and grew up in the northern region of Mexico, outside of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Growing up, he was surrounded by Hispanic culture and traditions while also exposed to neighboring customs due to numerous visits to the United States and Canada. He and his family moved to the Midwest in 2004.

After high school, he studied at the Rhode Island School of Design with a deep focus in architecture, but became fascinated with animation and rightfully switched majors. His work is riddled with elements that he combines in order to form something he considers humorous, familiar, and ironic.
