Set appropriately to “Take Five” by the late Bay Area musician Dave Brubeck, “City Series: San Francisco” uses poetic time-lapse and abstract shots to convey the experience of this great city.

It is an experimental city symphony genre film inspired by Paul Strand’s Manhatta, Dziga Vertov’s The Man With the Movie Camera, and Walter Ruttmann’s Berlin: Symphony of a Metropolis.

This film was shown at BAYMN FEST 2013.
