Occupy the Future uses film shot in the streets of Oakland, and a panel of Oakland youth to tell the story of Occupy Oakland’s protest movement and the controversy that surrounds it. By experiencing the protests first hand and debating about their value with each other, the young filmmakers learn more about their own political beliefs and come to their own conclusions about the movement.
This film was shown at the Rise to the Occasion Youth Media Festival in 2012.
