Leslie SbroccoMy name is Leslie Sbrocco and I'm the host of Check, Please! Bay Area. Each week, I will be sharing my tasting notes about the wine the guests and I drank on set during the taping of the show. I will also share some wine tips with each episode.

Check, Please! Bay Area guests drank the following wines on the set of episode 708:

2010 Chateau St. Jean Fume Blanc, Sonoma County, California $13
Fume Blanc is simply another name for wine made with the grape Sauvignon Blanc and this is a California value classic. One of the state’s notable producers, Chateau St. Jean scores year after year with this aromatic, succulent white.

2008 Robert Oatley Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot, Mudgee, Australia $20
One of Aussie’s leading wine figures, Bob Oatley, created his own brand to showcase premier wine-growing regions Down Under. From western Australia’s Margaret River to cool-climate Mudgee in the east, the wines speak of place. This supple yet vibrant blend is a touch earthy, a touch fruity and all together delicious.
