Leslie SbroccoMy name is Leslie Sbrocco and I'm the host of Check, Please! Bay Area. Each week, I will be sharing my tasting notes about the wine the guests and I drank on set during the taping of the show. I will also share some wine tips with each episode.

Check, Please! Bay Area guests drank the following wines on the set of episode 707:

2010 Bonterra Sauvignon Blanc, Mendocino and Lake Counties, California $12
Bonterra’s focus is on organically-grown grapes, which is kind to the environment and the wine. This juicy white packs citrusy freshness zipped with crisp fruit flavors. Try with light fish dishes, tangy cheeses, and salads draped with vinaigrette.

2008 Beronia Crianza, Rioja, Spain $14
This red from Spain’s classic Rioja region, is made with primarily Tempranillo grapes with a dash of Garnacha. With a year of oak ageing (hence the Crianza designation) the wine is smooth, supple and sports a kick of spice.
