Leslie SbroccoMy name is Leslie Sbrocco and I’m the host of Check, Please! Bay Area. Each week, I will be sharing my tasting notes about the wine the guests and I drank on set during the taping of the show. Also, in my "What to Sip" suggestions, I choose one restaurant from each show and offer tips for selecting libations to enjoy with your meal.

Wine of the Week:

2004 Archetype Vineyards, Old Vine Shiraz, Barossa Valley Australia $35
Like donning a pair of fabulous fake eyelashes, this wine has the “WOW” factor. Big, bold, jammy, and rich, you can’t help but fall in love. You’ll find yourself gazing at your date across the dinner table after a glass of this sexy sipper.

What to Sip: Bill’s Place

Usually I write about wine or cocktails but after having one of the best milkshakes in my life, I needed to give Bill’s some ink. I’m a vanilla fan (though my 12 year-old daughter is a chocaholic) and their shakes are hand-scooped, real ice cream blended, and served in a stainless steel cup so you can pour your own.
