"European Adventures" is the theme for this episode which combines restaurants from previous Check, Please! Bay Area shows to highlight local restaurants serving up a variety of European cuisines.

French culinary classics cooked in a quaint country setting can be found at the first spot in the New Almaden foothills of San Jose at La Forêt. Next, become a member of la familia at San Francisco’s Vega, an Italian eatery highlighting home-made pizzas and pastas cooked with love. The last restaurant offers a place to learn the Basque language, watch a movie, even pick up the regional game of pelota – a perfect way to build up your appetite, at the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco.

Check, Please! Bay Area Season 10 episode 11 airs Thursday, May 21 at 7:30pm on KQED 9. See other television airtimes.
