Rashidi Omari is a performance artist, writer and educator at Destiny Arts Center in Oakland, CA. Growing up, hip hop was an outlet that helped Rashidi deal with life’s challenges, and he works with local students to provide with the same creative opportunities. We stopped by his dance studio to learn more about this dynamic artist, and find out what hip hop culture means to him. Omari also gave us the basics of how to break dance and beatbox.
