Stochkolm-based photographers Klara Källström and Thobias Fäldt present two bodies of work at CULT gallery. Created while in residence in Quebec, Village documents life around the province while engaging with Canada’s colonial history and its relevance to language and translation. High Hills is an entirely new body of work created for the artists’ exhibition at CULT. Concerned with similar themes, Källström and Fäldt photographed San Francisco’s Mission District, drawing on both Native history and current issues surrounding gentrification and displacement. The opening night doubles as a book launch party for Village.
