The 2016 lineup for SF Sketchfest, San Francisco’s massively popular comedy festival, has been announced and just like previous years, it’s jam-packed and star-studded, with celebrities such as Sally Field, Jon Hamm and Parker Posey signed up for featured events.

Described as being “one of America’s most respected comedy festivals” by Rolling Stone, next year’s SF Sketchfest — its 15th — will consist of over 200 events spread across over 16 days. Along with the sketch, stand up and improv comedy events that are the reason the festival started, there will be several film events, live game shows and podcast recordings, and even some events for the kids.

Top billing in the lineup is the 20th anniversary tribute to the hilarious Christopher Guest comedy Waiting For Guffman that will include a cast reunion featuring Guest, Posey, Fred Willard and Bob Balaban. Also being featured is a in-person tribute to Oscar-winning actress Sally Field, who will have an on-stage conversation with comedic writer and actor Michael Showalter, and later show the movie they made together, Hello, My Name is Doris.

Other featured events include the almost random-seeming pairing of comedian Patton Oswalt and Oakland rapper Boots Riley (of The Coup) for an “in conversation” event, and a performance by Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.

Tickets range from $12 to $50 and go on sale Sunday, Nov. 22 at 10am. To buy tickets and and learn more information, go to sfsketchfest.com.
