Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" video, shot on Treasure Island.

Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly is already a strong contender for album of the year, and its latest video has just dropped: “Alright,” filmed largely on Treasure Island, smack in the middle of the Bay Area.

The East Bay Express posted an in-person report from last month’s video shoot, a day-long affair which boasted over a hundred local extras, including Oakland hip-hop duo Los Rakas.

Kudos to director Colin Tilley for repping the Bay, with skyline shots and wide-angle pans of local residents. Watch the politically-charged longform video below.

Note: Video contains explicit language.
