Kevin Spacey performs at the Green Music Center on July 18.

Sure, you know him from House of Cards and The Usual Suspects, but unless you caught his labor-of-love Bobby Darin biopic Under the Sea, you might not know that Kevin Spacey can sing — and darn well, at that. The last time he gave such a performance in the Bay Area, in 2004, he sold out Bimbo’s 365 Club faster than you can say “Keyser Söze.”

Now, as part of the Green Music Center’s 2015-16 season in Rohnert Park, the actor finally returns for an evening of standards on July 18. Tickets — starting at $35 — go on sale to Mastercard holders today, April 14, at 10am, and to the general public on Tuesday, April 21, at 10am. Get tickets here.

Perhaps the best part? Spacey’s performance features an open back wall of the center’s ornate main hall, with casual seating out on the expansive lawn at Sonoma State University. Not a bad way to see a show there, indeed.

The actor leads a season at the Green Music Center that includes Lang Lang, Joshua Bell, Chucho Valdés, Chris Thile, Habib Koité, Andre Watts, Martina McBride, David Grisman, Anoushka Shankar, Chick Corea & Béla Fleck, Wynton Marsalis, Pink Martini, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, Cameron Carpenter and many more.
