Everything You Need to Know About Our Internship Program!
KQED is very excited to offer a robust internship program twice a year! This program provides an opportunity for anyone with a passion for public media to gain valuable hands-on-the-job exposure to areas of our business that support the KQED mission, goals and objectives.
We offer internship opportunities twice a year for a period of around 6 months each in a wide variety of different departments ranging from News to Science, from TV, Education, Marketing, Design, Arts to Corporate Sponsorship. The first internship session begins in January and ends in June. The second session begins in June and ends in December. You will work approximately 16 hours per week and we are more than happy to accommodate your schedule as best as we can. We start our recruiting process approximately 2 months prior to the beginning of each session so please have a look at our current openings and apply!
The purpose of both of these sessions is to provide you with opportunities to learn and experience elements of the broadcast communications industry. You will have the opportunity to make valuable contributions to our organization and have a direct impact on the work we do.
We will start interviewing around April/May. The deadline for submitting applications is the beginning of May!
You can find us at different job fairs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area as well; come say hello!
We can’t wait to have you be part of our KQED family!
